“Safe Words” is a stand up comedy show at a gay leather bar hosted by a straight man. Verbal lashings are rare, but have been known to occur when people misbehave. The safe word (as always) is alcohol, served up by none other than the Bay Area Reporters “Best Bartender,” Steve Dalton. Kollin Holtz hosts the show, and introduces a monthly lineup of outstanding comedic talent.

Episode 4 is now available, and it’s just as nonsensical as the previous three. Promise.

This episode finds the boys in 2:46am delirium going on about Charles Darwin (among other things).

P.S. Don’t forget about the Valentines Day Comedy show in downtown SF. What’s more romantic than dragging your valentine into the basement of a parking garage to see the Bay’s best comedy? Find out here.

Ask yourself, is there anything more romantic than whisking your love away to the basement of a parking garage to see the Bay’s best stand up comedy?

The correct answer is no. Nothing is more romantic than saying, “Hey, I’m going to drag you into the basement of this parking garage,” making everyone you’re with extremely uncomfortable. Imagine their relief and delight when they realize you only brought them there for cheap beers, and belly laughs. This month, Scott Capurro (Comedy Central) leaves one foggy city (London) for the love of another.

The show is hosted by Kollin Holtz, and features the comedy musings of Daryus Monday, Juan Medina, Andrew Holmgren, and Caitlin Gill.      21+. Get you and your friends in for $5 total when you come together! Free with valid college ID or weed card.

At an art gallery, in the basement of a parking garage, comedian Brendan Lynch headlines the Laughing Stock comedy show.

Sylvan Productions and Gallery and Bar 4N5 are happy to announce, with it’s six month anniversary rapidly approaching, that Laughing Stock (the comedy show) will become a regular fixture at the venue voted “Best Nightlife Spot” by SF Weekly 2012. Starting March 21st the show will debut it’s new, regular time slot every third Thursday of the month.

The show will stay the same! The same quality comedy, same draft beers, and the same quirk and allure of a comedy show in an art gallery in the basement of a parking garage. The only things changing about this show are the date to every third Thursday, and the lineup of comedians.
